Extra-ordinary Double Troika Summit of SADC


SADCThe Southern African Development Community (SADC), will convene a Double Troika Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the regional body on 24th April, 2018 in Luanda, Angola. The Summit will be attended by the Heads of States and Governments, or representatives from the Double Troika Member States which comprise of the Republic of South Africa as the Chair of SADC; the Republic of Namibia as the Deputy Chair of SADC; the Kingdom of Swaziland as the out-going Chair of SADC; the Republic of Angola as the Chair of Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation; the Republic of Zambia as the incoming Chair of Organ; and the United Republic of Tanzania as the outgoing Chair of Organ.
The Summit will receive Reports on the political and security situation in the SADC region to enable the regional leaders to appreciate the progress made in the implementation of SADC decisions in the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
